Review:
Ah, Mudd is back. Overall this is a good comedic episode. It has humor, it has a mystery, and it stretches the actor’s skills as they do things out of character to confuse the androids that Mudd has found.
Also, it gets points for perhaps the most unique of punishments for Harry Mudd. Since this episode didn’t really give me anything to really comment about, here is some music (with some sampling from this episode and others) for you to enjoy.
Interesting Notes:
- Directed by Marc Daniels
- Written by Stephen Kandel, David Gerrold
- This is the second aired story with Harry Mudd, although Star Trek Discovery has episodes that pre-date this in in-verse chronology.
Pros:
- Given the android here, you would think Data wouldn’t be quite so scarce a species.
Its kind of a missed opportunity that Data never gets to see this planet, for that matter. Still it is nice to see an episode where the computer doesn’t have to explode/die due to the illogical behavior of humans
Cons:
- Nothing stands out to mention
