Review:
This episode was a neutral one for me. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t a standout episode despite Julie Newmar being part of the cast. There were some interesting sets, and the story was interesting but it had moments where I felt there were issues. Mainly in bodily consent. Also, I wonder about the background of the Capellans, because I can’t imagine that the Klingons and Federation being there would invoke a coup. Maab must have had earlier reasons and been planning for a while.
Positives for the episode are the inclusion of new technologies.
Interesting Notes:
- Directed by Joseph Pevney
- Written by DC Fontana
Pros:
- Scotty gets a chance to run the bridge
- Other then Chapel, the main characters all seem to have something to do in this episode.
Cons:
- Continuing consent issues.
