Review:
I’m starting to remember why Star Trek TOS isn’t my favorite series. There are a few tropes they use continuously, and it seems season 2 is the place they started using them in regularity. Kirk once again must seduce his way off a planet.
The background behind this episode is kind of vague. It really seems like “We need more fights, less talk” came up in the script room and this came out of that. I might have appreciated it more had Chekov and Uhura been given equal screen time.
That being said its far from the worst episode this series.
