Max Grodenchik – Sovak. He played many characters over the year, but mostly is known for being Rom, Quark’s younger brother on DS9.Apparently he’s in Apollo 13, but I don’t recall seeing him.  Oh, well.  What a hardship to rewatch my favorite movie again.

Charles Cooper – K’mpec, Cooper previously acted on Star Trek as Klingon General Kord. They got to reuse some of the costume for this episode. He will return for another episode as K’mpec
Tony Todd – Kurn. Todd would return as Kurn for a couple episodes including on DS9, but he will also appear as an Adult Jake Sisko, and an Hirogen. He also did various voices for Star Trek video games. He also appeared in 1994’s The Crow
Patrick Massett – Duras. He will appear once more as Duras. He is also a script writer, having co-written the script for the 2001 version of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Mark Margolis – Nel Apgar.  He earned a Emmy nomination for his role in the TV series Breaking Bad.
Gina Hecht as Manua Apgar.  She is known for her role on Mork & Mindy,and more recently as a Judge on General Hospital and Puck’s mother on Glee. Which I actually watched a season of recently (before deciding not to continue).
Juliana Donald –Tanya. She would appear on various Trek episodes, and other scifi shows like Babylon 5 and the X-files.

Christopher Pettiet – ‘boy’.  He played Jessie James in the TV series The Young Riders.  Unfortunately, he died a decade after this episode from a drug overdose at the age of 24.

Jeff McCarthy – Roga Danar.  He’ll also appear on Voyager as the CMO, unfortunately short lived.  He is also the voice of Michigan J. Frog, the WB’s animated frog.
J. Micheal Flynn – He plays a background character in this episode, but he would appear in several episodes of Star Trek Enterprise.

Andreas Katulas – Tomalok.  This is Katulas second appearance of the show. He appeared earlier in the season when rescuing a crew from a planet that Geordi was stranded on.
 S.A. Templemen – Bates
James Sloyan – Alidar Jarok.  Sloyan would appear many more times, notably as Mora Pol in Deep Space Nine.
John Hancock – Admiral Haden.  He would reappear in season 4.
James McElroy – a background actor who appears several times on Star Trek over the years.  He appears in TNG and ENT.
